an engagement party brunch

(fringed red and white crepe paper background. kraft paper bunting with "to be wed.")

It's become a (fairly new) tradition with my group of friends to throw an intimate engagement party for one another when someone's boyfriend "puts a ring on it." One of my very best friends - Miss Sarah - got engaged just a few weeks ago, so I was thrilled to host a party at our Downtown loft.

In the spirit of the holidays, I settled on a red, white, and gold theme - specifically red and white country with a bit of Holiday gold glitz. There were gold mason jars filled with beautiful red and white flowers, a fringed red and white streamer background, kraft paper bunting, and mercury glass votives a plenty.

Due to some time constraints (her and her fiance are shipping off to Boston this week), we opted for a "boozy" brunch party -  mimosas, mulled wine, quiche, and a donut and iced coffee spread.

Thanks to all my friends for helping with the food, flowers, and set-up!
